WhenEverSend
FAQ
Questions worth answering honestly.

WhenEverSend is early. Here's where things actually stand today.

Which channels can I send to today?
Email and SMS. Both are built as independent modules, so more channels (WhatsApp among them) get added without changing how the rest of the product works.
Can a message be triggered by something other than a date?
Yes — an inbound SMS trigger already exists: a message fires the first time a text arrives from a number you specify, optionally only if it contains a particular word. Date is just the first and simplest trigger.
Can I change or cancel a message after scheduling it?
Not yet through the interface — this is early. If you need to change or cancel something you've scheduled, reach out directly for now.
What happens to my message if WhenEverSend shuts down?
This is a fair question for anything meant to deliver a message years from now, and it's one we take seriously rather than wave away. It's an open problem we're actively designing around, not something already solved — see the reliability notes on the How it works page for the reasoning behind the infrastructure choices so far.
Is my message readable by anyone before it's delivered?
It's stored to be delivered, not to be browsed — there's no public listing or sharing of message content. Formal encryption-at-rest guarantees are on the roadmap, not shipped yet, so don't put anything in a message today that you wouldn't want stored in a normal database.
